CALGARY, Alberta – IntelliView Technologies Inc. is set to unveil its latest product offering, the Dual Camera Analytic Module (DCAM™), at the 2016 International Pipeline Expo (IPE), where the company will be joined by industry-leading partners Schneider Electric, Pelco by Schneider Electric, and Simark Controls Ltd.

An intelligent and integrated system, the IntelliView DCAM is designed to automatically detect progressing above-ground oil and other liquid leaks and perimeter intrusion in industrial settings without the need for ambient lighting, separate hardware and imaging sensors. Its detection mechanism consists of two high quality imagers (thermal and low light performance optical/color), advanced video analytics, and patented image processing technologies, which together deliver accurate detection and low false alarm rates.

With the system’s real-time alarm and email notifications that include image/video evidence of user-defined events and 24/7 web access to live feeds, alarms and settings, users are armed with critical field information needed for rapid decision making and situation control.

“The DCAM represents a revolutionary product leap for IntelliView through the integration of six individual hardware components into one enclosure”, said Shane Rogers, Vice-President Product Development at IntelliView Technologies. “Our driver came from customer input, asking us for a wireless sensor to eliminate the high costs of cable trenching. The result has exceeded initial expectations, where not only have costs fallen dramatically but the new camera has twice the power and detection ability of the previous generation technology.”

“We are delighted that IntelliView has been able to bring the DCAM to market at this time, allowing Schneider Electric OASyS customers to take advantage of lower costs and higher detection levels the new unit provides”, said Larry Stack, Senior VP, Oil & Gas Applications, Software at Schneider Electric. “Our objective is to provide OASyS pipeline customers leak detection technology that sets the industry standard in terms of performance and scope both above and below the ground. IntelliView’s DCAM strengthens our position in meeting this goal.”

Built-in features include onboard storage for edge recording, an adaptive climate control cooler and heater duet, and wireless connectivity (with Ethernet option). Available in 13mm or 25mm thermal lens, the camera module also boasts a compact, weatherproof and virtually indestructible frame, easy integration onto existing infrastructure, and suitability in various field scenarios, including remote and unmanned sites.

The technology is also deployable in other oil and gas surveillance applications and wildlife monitoring.  Platforms and options include fixed, self-powered trailer, and explosion proof (C1D1).

Development of the unit has been partially supported by both the Government of Canada and the Government of Alberta through the Western Innovation Initiative (WINN), Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP), and Alberta Innovates Technology Futures (AITF) programs.
